Heavy Pelmet Vilene – Plus This product is much heavier and stiffer than Pelmet Vilene and has an adhesive side. The adhesive is heat activated like ‘Bondaweb’. Both types of pelmet Vilene will take transfer paint and procion dye as well as paints and markal sticks. The beauty of the Heavy Pelmet Vilene plus is that you can dye the adhesive side and it is still adhesive. Paint seems to ‘clog’ the adhesive. Try applying threads and foil to the adhesive as you would with painted ‘Bondaweb’. It makes a wonderful double sided very stiff fabric. Both types Pelmet Vilene can be rolled and folded and machine stitched. The heavy pelmet Vilene plus is so rigid it can stand up by itself. It is the perfect product for making boxes. Can be cut and carved with a soldering iron. |

These are two sections are part of a box designed and constructed by Lee Brown. The entire box has been made from Heavy Pelmet Vilene Plus.
