Heavy Tyvek that has been painted and ironed between baking parchment.

Tyvek’ is a spun polyester paper that can be heated with an iron between baking parchment or distressed with a heat gun.

It is white and can be painted with water based paints, dyes and crayons. (Anything solvent/oil based will give off fumes when you heat it).

There are several different weights. I sell two.

Heavyweight
Heavy ‘Tyvek’ feels like thick paper. It comes in A4 sheets and can be put through an INK JET printer. The heavy type can be free machined without a frame.

Wonderful for deep bubble textures. Excellent for 3D work.

Fabricweight
Fabric ‘Tyvek’ has more of a fabric like drape. It is much lighter in weight and distresses very quickly when heated with an iron or a heat gun. This thinner version needs to be stretched on a frame before you free machine into it. A less obvious but beautiful bubble effect can be achieved with this type of ‘Tyvek’.

All weights can be moulded when hot, layered, and can be made into fantastic beads.

3 layers of fabric Tyvek each painted a different colour, stitched together, than zapped with a 350 watt heat gun.
