nid-noi.com can accept no responsibility for the performance of products I supply, as the conditions of use are beyond my control.
Whilst I have experimented and tested all products under what I consider correct conditions, I cannot be held responsible for what products may do when worked with under irresponsible conditions such as using naked flames.
Please test any product out first on the materials that you intend to use for your main project. Please check fabrics for flaws before cutting or painting, as claims cannot be made for the use of dyes on faulty fabrics.
If products supplied are faulty I will happily refund or replace them, but cannot give refunds towards other items used.
Always test products first on a small piece of work. Take care when handling dyes and chemicals, as some may cause allergic reactions or irritations in some people. Do not breathe in powders - wear a dust mask and rubber gloves when using them. Work in a well ventilated room when using dyes and chemicals, or when heating fabrics and fibres.
Do not use the same tools and microwaves for your textile work and food. This is really not a good idea!!!
It should not be necessary to wear a respirator when using any of the products I sell providing you use water based media to colour your products. Oil based media will give off fumes when heated.
Never take chances with yours or others health particularly when working in groups. Working with new products can be very exciting and you can take your eye off the ball. Be careful with solvent based sprays when working with other people. All such sprays should be sprayed outside the classroom. Products like bleach and oil based media can give off strong fumes. Be very careful when working with others. The person next to you in class could have any kind of breathing problems you may not be aware of. Always check the room you are working in has a good through flow of air. This is good practise for any kind of work even just sitting and stitching but crucial for when you are using heat tools.
O.K. nagging over – just be sensible and have FUN!!!!
